The Design

This kitchen is a ray of sunshine. The kitchen is our Westminster Style, a take on the traditional shaker kitchen with a modern touch. The one-wall kitchen is fitted along the main wall in this space with floor to ceiling cabinet units on the right side of the lower cabinet and run. The large island holds a lot of storage and offers seating for a social space at any time of the day.

Herringbone worked closely with interior designer Lizzie Green to complete the look and feel of the project.

The Details: Colours, Hardware, Worktops Etc

The colour combinations in this space draws you in and makes it feel bright and airy. The cabinets are Herringbone’s Cathedral Stone from the Herringbone Paints Range whilst the island is our Jersey Blue colour from the same range. The bright yellow tiles work well with both colours and created a focal viewpoint. The drawers on the island are deep to safely and easily store away plates and bowls.

The large butler sink makes it easy to prep, wash up and clean and the floating wooden shelf just above the sink opens up the space and zones in on this part of the kitchen. The worktop which flows throughout the kitchen is a low-silica quartz called Silestone Miami Vena Polished. The Bora hob on the kitchen island works well in this space to make the practicality of using the kitchen on a daily basis easy.

The Larder Doors

Behind the doors to the right hand side of the kitchen hides the pantry and storage rooms. These bespoke larder doors were created and designed by Herringbone to hide away an existing storage area to make it flow with the design of the kitchen. The doors are painted in the same Cathedral Stone colour as the main kitchen run.
